Benches in Seaside Sauna Haus

wake up your senses!

Our wood-fired sauna can be found on the stunning Seatown beach on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. Join us for communals, full-moon saunas and private hires. Allow this dedicated space and time to reconnect with your body and the elements. Experience the heat of our sauna, in contrast with the refreshing sea air and saltwater and let nature be your spa! Here you will find space to relax, socialise and recharge your body and mind.

Our sauna has tiered L-shaped seating, wide benches for ultimate comfort and a window view of the sea connects you to our beautiful coastline. We use Kiln Dried Logs for an efficient burn and the haus is constructed of Cedar Wood for a serene aroma.

Our Sauna

what to expect

It's best to arrive 10 minutes before your sauna is due to begin. You can arrive in your bathing suit, change outside, or inside in our small changing room. The temperature of the sauna varies depending on the day, but we don't like to keep our sauna burning too hot- it's usually around 70°C. Bring a towel into the sauna to sit on and choose a spot- the higher bench is hotter. Listen to your body and leave the sauna when you feel it's time, without feeling pressured to stay longer than your comfortable with. You're encouraged to step outside for a breath of fresh air and to rehydrate whenever needed. Buckets of cold water are available for cooling down and you can also take a refreshing dip in the sea, lie in the tide, on the pebbles, or simply enjoy the cooler air outside. Take your time and move at your own pace, and remember not to overdo it. Balance is key for the best experience and to ensure you feel revitalised!

testimonials from our community

"I absolutely loved my saunahaus experience. Such a treat. The actual sauna is beautifully crafted. It has a lovely changing area before you get in the sauna. Sarah is a star and makes the experience even more enjoyable. The sea was rough when we went but we managed to splash in the waves to cool off before hopping back in the heat. Cant wait to go again (might need more than an hour next time!!)"
